Donald Trump dementia fears spike as doctor makes new dire claims

Questions Emerge Regarding Trump’s Health Despite Clear Medical Assessment

Donald Trump has consistently asserted that he is in outstanding health, a position supported by formal medical evaluations. In April, Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, issued a report confirming that the former president is “fully fit” to serve. Standing at 6’3″ and weighing 224 pounds, Trump successfully completed routine examinations with normal results and was characterized as being in “robust” physical and neurological health.

Barbabella attributed Trump’s good health to his active lifestyle and mentioned treatments such as cataract surgery and the discovery of a benign polyp during a colonoscopy. Trump reiterated these findings, stating to reporters, “I took a cognitive test… and answered every question correctly.”

However, some experts are expressing concerns. Dr. John Gartner, a psychologist and former professor at Johns Hopkins, recently suggested that Trump may exhibit signs of frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a degenerative condition that impacts motor skills and behavior.

Gartner compared Trump’s current physical movements to past video recordings, observing a significant decline. “He does trip and fall,” Gartner remarked, referring to Trump’s challenges with climbing stairs and a peculiar “leg swing” that could indicate neurological problems.

A neurologist reportedly informed Gartner that Trump’s gait is a strong indicator of FTD. Online speculation has further escalated, with videos implying that Trump may be using a catheter, although this remains unverified.

Trump and his team have not addressed these allegations. For the time being, the April medical report stands as the sole official statement. Nevertheless, the situation continues to raise persistent questions regarding transparency about the health of leaders, particularly as Trump advances in his political endeavors.
