Anne Burrell: Food Network Chef Found Dead Near Dozens of Pills [Report]

Celebrity chef Anne Burrell, known for her appearances on the Food Network, tragically passed away on Tuesday. She was reportedly discovered unresponsive at her residence in New York, surrounded by numerous pills.

According to reports, Burrell’s husband found her unconscious in the shower and immediately contacted emergency services. An anonymous source informed the New York Post that Burrell had performed improv in Brooklyn the previous evening and appeared to be in excellent spirits.

The New York Fire Department confirmed that Burrell experienced cardiac arrest; however, sources indicated to the New York Post that it is premature to determine if the pills located near her body contributed to her death. Additionally, these sources expressed that they do not suspect any foul play.

TMZ reported that a 911 dispatcher instructed Burrell’s husband to administer CPR, despite him stating that her body was cold.

Burrell was the host of Food Network’s “Worst Cooks in America” and also appeared on “Iron Chef America,” where she made her first television appearance. She was 55 years old.
