Despite undergoing three surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation, Dr. Kelly Powers successfully battled the cancer while also experiencing the joy of becoming pregnant and giving birth to her son, Bennett, as detailed on a GoFundMe page.
She humorously described herself as “the luckiest unlucky girl” for overcoming her illness and often joked that her treatment resulted in both her and baby Bennett having the same hairstyle during his infancy, as mentioned on the page.
