On Friday, an earthquake struck northern Iran, raising questions about its implications amid ongoing heavy bombardment by Israel, which has now persisted for eight days.
According to Iranian state media, a quake measuring 5.2 in magnitude was detected near Semnan. This city and its province, sharing the same name, are located approximately three hours to the east of Tehran.
