Just a few days prior to President Trump’s appointment of Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) as deputy director of the FBI, Dan Bongino criticized him on his widely listened to podcast.
“What is the issue with Adam Schiff?” Bongino urged listeners to reconsider the Russia collusion narrative during the opening of a segment.
As Bongino reflected on the story that had been circulated years earlier, he stated, “I must be candid with you. I do not wish to move on.”
“We had the FBI, in collaboration with the Department of Justice, congressional officials, foreign governments, and intelligence personnel, fabricate a narrative that could have inflicted serious long-term damage to international relations with a nuclear-capable adversary,” he remarked. “This is quite a significant matter.”
He continued, “Pay attention—this will be crucial in the coming days.” This may have hinted at his potential hiring by the FBI.
“This issue is not going away. It cannot recur, so I want to understand what went wrong. This inquiry is solely for Democrats. I am not a Republican. Not a Libertarian. Not to any American citizen,” Bongino asserted.
“You cannot alter the trajectory of electoral politics by fabricating a narrative, commandeering the justice system, and then presenting a false story as if it were true,” he emphasized. “You do not have that right.”
“Why am I addressing this now? Who was responsible for that chaos, anyway? Yes, Adam Schiff, and no, I will not relent,” he declared.
It is noteworthy that Schiff received an early pardon from former President Joe Biden for his involvement in the Democratic-led Jan. 6 Commission, despite his assertion that it was “unnecessary” and “unwise.”
In a statement, Schiff remarked, “I maintain that granting pardons to a committee that performed such vital work to uphold the law was unnecessary and, due to the negative precedent it sets, unwise. However, I certainly comprehend why President Biden felt compelled to take this action in light of the ongoing.
It indeed pertains to ‘extraordinary circumstances’ when officials are pardoned to avert a wrongful prosecution by the government for having diligently served as members of Congress to reveal the facts of a months-long criminal effort aimed at undermining the will of the voters following the 2020 elections, including inciting a violent insurrection to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power,” they stated in the announcement, which was released on the social media platform X.
